Husband and wife are traveling by car from Los Angeles
to "the centre of the universe", Toronto. After almost twenty-four hours on the road they are too tired to continue, and decide to stop for a rest. They stop at a hotel near and slept for four hours and then get back on the road. When they check out four hours later, the desk clerk hands them a bill for $350.00. The man explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells the clerk although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth $350.00! When the clerk tells him $350.00 is the standard rate, the man insists on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appears, listens to the man, and Then explains that the hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for the husband and wife to use. 'But we didn't use them,' the man complains.'Well, they are here, and you could have,' explains the manager. He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. 'The best entertainers from New York , Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here,' the manager says.
'But we didn't go to any of those shows,' complains the man again.
'Well, we have them, and you could have,' the manager replies.
No matter what amenity the manager mentions, the man replies, 'But we did not use it!' The manager is unmoved, and eventually the man gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a check and gives it to the manager. The manager is surprised when he looks at the check. 'But sir,' he says, this check is only made out for $50.00.'
'That's correct,' says the man. 'I charged you $300.00 for sleeping with my wife.'
'But I didn't!' exclaims the Manager. 'Well, too bad,' the man replies. 'She was here and you could have.'

Neanderthals: Not Extinct, Just Called “Humans” Now
Before “Neanderthal” was a pejorative, it was a species of pre-historic weird things that roamed Europe and Asia and died off sometime after the Ice Age ended—or so we thought. However, a new study shows that some of this Neanderthal D.N.A. has been preserved within human D.N.A. “In a significant advance, the researchers mapped most of the Neanderthal genome—the first time that the heredity of such an ancient human species has been reliably reconstructed. The researchers, able for the first time to compare the relatively complete genetic coding of modern and prehistoric human species, found the Neanderthal legacy accounts for up to 4% of the human genome among people in much of the world today,” reports The Wall Street Journal.

Geronimo 2 sons and nephew
The Apache people were nomads and lived in Arizona and New Mexico. The name comes from the Zuni word apachu (enemy). They moved in smaller groups or clans and lived in cabins made of earth and bushes, called wickyups. There were 6 main tribes: Jicarilla, Mescalero, Chiricahua, Mimbrenos, San Carlos and Coyotero. There were nearly none solidarity between the tribes and they fought in smaller groups.

Print 3D Engineering Models on Your Desktop – HP Designjet 3D Printer
We're bouncing back and forth between high tech and low tech, from 5 axis milling machines to hands on clay mockups for body kits, today it's back to high tech with this brand new 3D printer for the desktop from HP, the HP Designjet 3D Printer. It's now on sale in Europe starting around $17,500, still a bit high for the home do it yourself designer, but pretty amazing, nevertheless.
Engineers can model their parts in 3D software and instead of using some very expensive milling machines and needing a highly skilled machinist to see what the part looks like in real life, they just hit the print button.
The HP printer uses ABS plastic to form the parts. The printer weighs 130 pounds and is 30 by 26 by 26 inches. It will literally fit on a sturdy desktop. One version is capable of printing in multiple colors so you can color each piece differently to show how they fit together.
Obviously, these parts cannot be used in the actual product, they're models only, but think about how far we've come in the last few years. Not long ago, this was the stuff of science fiction, then only something available to the biggest companies, now it's something small design firms can put to work. Is a home version in the future? Bet on it
